A new park to explore

We had a quiet morning at home today after our busy one yesterday. While looking online for something else, I discovered a park I didn't know existed, and only 20mins from our house. So we grab some fruit and drinks and headed off for a quick play. It was a gorgeous day out and lots of people were enjoying the weather.

Kate loves a park that involves some climbing

A different sort of swing

The girls spent ages spinning on that horrible thing

Time to replenish the energy levels

Watching the canoes

And the speed boat

A peaceful spot, don't you think?

Ripples on the water

We will definitely go again with a picnic, bikes and a ball. The girls could spend hours there. On the way home we stopped to get ice cream and while in the shop Ella said she felt sick, so we hurried out and home. However once we got home, we had no sooner walked in the door when Kate threw up everywhere. Nice! Ella is fine now, so I don't know what that was all about. Maybe too much spinning? Anyway Kate is fast asleep now so hopefully will feel brighter when she wakes.

Perth Royal Show

Today is the first day of the school holidays, so we set off to The Perth Royal Show. As we only go every two years, the girls were very excited during the week when I told them this was the year! Ella only vaguely remembered going last time, Kate remembered more and more as the day went on and it was Ruby's first time! We got there at opening time (9am) and left with three very tired pumpkins at 3:15pm. Phil is still away (4 and a half weeks now!) so Amie & I took the little ones. I would never attempt it on my own.

Some pics from our day:

The first ride of the day

Kate enjoys the bumper boats

Ella & Kate loved this one, Ruby did at first, then begged to get off!

Amie & Kate on the sizzler!
Kate is growing up fast attempting "scarier" rides.
That's what big sisters are for right?

Dora! - I thought we were over it!

Checking out the goods!

Watching the horses

Of course, no show is complete without a ride on the merry-go-round!

Spring is here

My second favourite season is officially here, welcome. The downside is that Summer follows, my least favourite season. I don't do hot very well. And boy of boy do we get a long hot summer. Goodbye Winter, I'll miss you.
